Oh hey Billboard! It’s your girl, Becky G, come get ready with me! I have imagined just how interesting it would be if there was an actual timer attached to like artists, like people who dedicate themselves to what I do, to time how many hours we spend in the hair and makeup chair because a lot goes down in this chair, okay? Not just the actual glamming process, but usually we’re blasting music, like reading a book, or FaceTiming my mom. I’ve fallen asleep in the glam chair because time is dedicated in this chair. Today’s hair is, of course, sleek and we have to make sure that she stays because it is summer in LA. And because I have so much hair, she can get frizzy very quickly, and I always prep my hair with my Sleek & Stay serum. I am a pretty ritualistic person. I feel like on any big day, I have to start the day with good intentions, really connect with myself. I’m all about preparation. I don’t think anyone’s ever really ready for all the pressures, for like, a big meeting or a big panel, like the one I’m doing today, or a big performance, but knowing that you’ve prepared for it is really important that also goes to, like, hair and makeup. So like, skincare prep is really important for me, or, like hair prep is really important for me. Got my, you know, sleek and stay today for my hair. That was part of my prep today. I would say that’s part of my ritual.
