19-year-old woman shot in Syracuse


SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — A 19-year-old woman was shot on the Near West Side of Syracuse early in the morning on Saturday, August 30.
Syracuse Police were sent to a ShotSpotter activation, which indicated multiple gunshots on the 200 block of Rowland Street just after 2:30 a.m.
Just after officers arrived at the scene, which was near Elliott Park, they got word that a shooting victim had been dropped off at University Hospital.
Officers went to the hospital and found a 19-year-old woman in the emergency room with a gunshot wound to her leg. She is listed in stable condition and is expected to survive.
