UPDATE: Four people hospitalized after Syracuse fire

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Four people were taken to the hospital after a house fire in Syracuse, according to the American Red Cross.

Just before 7:30 p.m. on July 4, the Syracuse Fire Department responded to a house fire on the 2600 block of Midland Avenue.

One adult and three children were taken to the hospital, the Red Cross said.

The Red Cross is now helping two families impacted by the fire. The first family has four adults and seven children. The second family has three adults and two children.

In total, 16 people have been impacted by the fire.
