Justin Bieber, Beyoncé, ‘KPop Demon Hunters’: Which Pop Stars Won July 2025?
We are back with the Greatest Pop Stars of July 2025 — and we are back in the much greater sense too, following a month of surprise releases, exciting new breakthroughs and long-awaited comebacks, and a couple of the greatest memes in recent pop history.
This week, we relive an extremely fun (though occasionally sad) month in pop stardom, as host Andrew Unterberger is joined by Billboard staffers Michael Saponara and Kyle Denis to share and debate our respective July top five lists, while also naming some honorable mentions, some disappointments, and some artists who we’re looking forward to in the months to come. (If you missed our recaps of the first five months of 2025, check them out here, along with our recap of the entire first half of the year in pop stardom.)
Along the way, of course, we ask all the most important questions about July 2025 in pop stardom: Can Justin Bieber playing into the “It’s not clocking to you…” meme really take the fun out of it? What is the ultimate legacy of the Cowboy Carter Tour? Does Drake feel some type of way about Tyler, The Creator maybe taking a couple pages out of his playbook? Is it just an inherently poor decision to commit adultery at a Coldplay stadium concert? Was Ozzy Osbourne a pop star? And perhaps most importantly — is this just a fluky run of a few good weeks in a row, or is it the start to 2025 finally kicking into high gear?
Check it out above, along with a YouTube playlist of some of the greatest moments in July 2025 pop stardom — all of which are discussed on the pod — and subscribe to the Greatest Pop Stars podcast on Apple Music or Spotify (or wherever you get your podcasts) for weekly discussions every Thursday about all things related to pop stardom!
