Jon Reddick Notches His First Christian Airplay No. 1 With ‘No Fear’

A week after becoming Jon Reddick’s first Billboard chart No. 1 — on the Christian AC Airplay tally — his “No Fear” rises to the top of Christian Airplay. The song increased by 15% to 4.4 million audience impressions May 23-29, according to Luminate. It holds atop Christian AC Airplay with a 5% gain in plays.

Reddick, who grew up the son of a pastor in Memphis, co-wrote “No Fear” with Jeff Pardo (who produced it) and Matthew West (who has notched 13 Christian Airplay No. 1s as a recording artist). He has served as a worship leader and church pianist and is currently based in Franklin, Tenn.

“No Fear” is the title track to Reddick’s album released May 30 on Gotee Records. The 13-song set sports three versions of “No Fear”: the original, a live recording and a mix with We the Kingdom.

“God helps us not to escape fear, but to go through it,” Reddick tells Billboard. “God is over our lives, so we can move forward with no fear.”

Reddick has earned two additional Christian Airplay top 10s: “I Believe It (The Life of Jesus),” which reached No. 3 in August 2023, and “God, Turn It Around,” which hit No. 4 in June 2022. The singer-songwriter first charted with “You Keep Hope Alive,” with Mandisa (No. 12 peak, October 2020).

“No Fear” follows Reddick’s appearance on Pat Barrett’s update of the classic hymn “How Great Thou Art (Until That Day),” which reached No. 28 on the chart last June. The track features other artists including Pat Barrett, Cody Carnes, Kari Jobe and Chris Tomlin.

Reddick is touring this summer, with his next date set for June 22 in Holland, Mich.
