Watch: Seal Surprises Miami Club With Late-Night ‘Kiss From a Rose’ Performance for Daughter’s 21st Birthday
The stars were out in full force in Miami over the weekend for the 2025 Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix, but the stars also aligned for a special performance at the hip ultraclub, E11EVEN, where Seal surprised the crowd with a special performance for his daughter’s 21st birthday.
Though Seal has stayed relatively out of the spotlight in recent years — save for a tongue-in-cheek Super Bowl commercial in February — the singer turned up to the packed club with guitar in hand as he performed an acoustic rendition of his hit song, “Kiss From a Rose,” just after 2 a.m. Sunday morning, dedicating it to daughter Leni (who he shares with model Heidi Klum).
“This is a very special night for me,” the singer exclaimed, as he stood on a side stage just above the private booth where Klum and 20 of her friends had been holding court all night long. Seal encouraged the crowd to sing along with the Batman Forever soundtrack hit, pausing at times to let them finish the familiar lyrics (Billboard ranked “Kiss From a Rose” as one of the greatest pop songs of all time). The singer then helped to officially usher in Klum’s milestone birthday by leading the entire club into a rousing chorus of “Happy Birthday,” as waiters brought champagne and sparklers to the aspiring model’s booth.
Seal wasn’t the only big star of the night at E11EVEN: 50 Cent took to the club’s iconic in-the-round stage shortly at 3:30 am to play a set of his biggest hits, including “Hate It or Love It,” “Candy Stick” and “In Da Club,” as bottles of Don Julio 1942 Tequila and the venue’s own E11EVEN Vodka were passed around the VIP sections.
Other musical acts during E11EVEN’s Race Week activation over the weekend included Afrojack, Diplo and Nelly, whose performance on Saturday reportedly brought out Timothee Chalamet and Kylie Jenner.
Klum, meantime, stayed well into the wee hours on Sunday, unsurprisingly outlasting dad, Seal. Leni is the biological daughter of Heidi Klum and Formula 1 exec Flavio Briatore, but was adopted by Seal in 2009.
