PlaqueBoyMax Inks Deal With Field Trip Recordings & Capitol Records

After a blockbuster 2024, PlaqueBoyMax has announced he’s signing to Captiol Records and Field Trip Recordings.

The streaming star made the announcement on Thursday (May 22), with the producer capping off an insane year after emerging in 2024 with his Twitch series In The Booth and Song Wars. He dropped off his debut EP 5$TAR LESSONS: London in March and will also drop it’s follow up 5$TAR LESSONS: Atlanta on Friday (May 23). He most recently made two new songs with Quavo during a lengthy livestream session.

“Max is a true pioneer and is changing the current landscape of entertainment,” Zack Bia, founder & president, Field Trip Recordings, told Billboard in a statement. “We are here to help scale and operate his vision as he continues to merge all of these creative fields. The goal is to build directly out of the core 5$TAR community first and foremost, always leading with Max’s taste and collaborations that are true to him. We look forward to helping him bring his world to life in ways that the industry hasn’t seen before.”

He continued: “Just like Max is changing the way music gets made – on a live stream in front of thousands – the Field Trip and Capitol teams are changing the way music is released: clearing and delivering the songs as they’re being made to deliver fans with the most seamless experience possible. I want to send a special message of appreciation to Ricky Banks, Matt Kalish, and our Faze family as well as Tom and our Capitol family for continuing to empower our company in supporting unique artists. I know we are all beyond excited to be in Max’s corner.

PlaqueBoyMax will be joining Field Trip’s already stacked roster, with other signees including Yeat, SSGKobe, and HVN. The streamer has worked with Zack Bia and Field Trip since January, linking up with the FaZe Clan as part of artist collaborations including Central Cee, Fred Again, Skepta and more. The team also organized Max’s debut live show that included appearances from LAZER DIM 700 and D Savage.
