Joy Crookes Announces Upcoming Sophomore LP ‘Juniper,’ Shares U.K. Tour Dates
Joy Crookes has announced details of her forthcoming sophomore album, Juniper, and shared news of an upcoming headline tour in the U.K. and Ireland.
The London-based singer-songwriter will share Juniper on Sept. 26; it will be her first full-length LP since 2021’s Skin, which landed at No. 5 on the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart. Following its release, Crookes was nominated for two BRIT Awards in the best new artist, and best pop/R&B artist categories, as well as earning a nod for the 2022 Mercury Prize for Skin.
Crookes has shared a number of singles throughout 2025, including “Pass the Salt” featuring Vince Staples, “Mathematics” with U.K. grime legend Kano, “I Knew You’d Kill” and, on May 23, new single “Carmen.” All four tracks will feature on the forthcoming record.
Upon the announcement, Crookes said that the LP was informed by mental health challenges in the run-up to writing and recording. “I was in the trenches,” she said in a statement. “But the studio became my solace. What you hear is live and direct from that time.”
Crookes celebrated the news with a flurry of activity over the Bank Holiday weekend. On Thursday (May 22) the 26-year-old played a surprise pop-up show at London’s People’s Park Tavern, and followed that up with a performance at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Liverpool. In June, she’ll head to Glastonbury Festival and follows her huge 2022 appearance on the Pyramid Stage.
This coming November, she’ll kick off a European tour in Dublin, Ireland, before heading through the U.K., including stops at London’s O2 Academy Brixton and the Manchester Academy. The tour will then run through mainland Europe into early December.
