‘Gabby’s Dollhouse’ Hitting the Road for 80-Show Live Tour
From Netflix to the stage: The hit preschool show Gabby’s Dollhouse announced its first-ever live tour on Tuesday (May 13), and it’s traveling to nearly 80 cities around the United States.
Gabby’s Dollhouse Live! Presented by Walmart will launch at Long Beach, California’s Terrace Theater in September and wraps up in December back in California, at Santa Rosa’s Luther Burbank Center for the Arts. Along the way, it will hit historic venues including Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry, Detroit’s Fox Theatre and Boston’s Wang Theatre.
This marks the North American live stage debut for Gabby’s Dollhouse Live!, based on the hit DreamWorks Animation show about a girl named Gabby who can shrink down and join an imaginary world of cat-friends inside her own dollhouse. DreamWorks Animation, Universal Destinations and Experiences, TEG Life Like Touring and Terrapin Station Entertainment are producing the tour.
“This beloved series has sparked the imaginations of families around the world, and we can’t wait to translate its joy, heart, and creativity into a one-of-a-kind live experience,” said Jonathan Shank, CEO, Terrapin Station Entertainment.
The live stage production — which kicks off just before Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie arrives in theaters on Sept. 26 — includes a mix of actors and puppets and will feature songs from the show including “Hey Gabby,” “You Can’t Spell Meow Without Me” and “Sprinkle Party.”
