BigXThaPlug Delivers an Acoustic Version of ‘Holy Ground’: ‘This One Came From the Heart’
BigXThaPlug has teamed up with Amazon Music for an acoustic rendition of his song “Holy Ground” featuring Jessie Murph.

On Friday (May 2), Amazon Music dropped off the acoustic version of the track, which was originally included on the deluxe edition of BigX’s sophomore effort, Take Care. The acoustic version was released as part of Amazon Music’s Breakthrough program, which had previously honored BigXThaPlug in August as a rising talent to watch.
“Man, this one came from the heart,” the Dallas rapper said in a statement. “We took it back to the basics — just real music, real feelings. ‘Holy Ground’ is about where I been and where I’m headed, all the blessings and the battles. Jessie snapped on it too, brought a whole new energy to it. Big love to Amazon Music for rockin’ with me. This just the beginning.”
Alexis Cueva, artist relations for Amazon Music, previously told Billboard BigX was the obvious choice for its Breakthrough program.
“BigXthaPlug has been one of the most exciting new voices in hip-hop, with an outsized sound that’s as big as his personality,” Cueva said. “We’ve already seen our customers respond to his incredible music on Amazon Music, and as our next Breakthrough Artist, we’re excited to help BigX connect with even more fans.”
BigXThaPlug has been on a tear in 2025. His latest single, “All the Way” with Bailey Zimmerman, hit No. 1 on the Hot Country Songs chart in April. As previously reported, “All the Way” soared to No. 4 on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100, marking BigXthaPlug’s first top 10 and Zimmerman’s second.
