‘Usher: Rendezvous in Paris’ Concert Film Is Coming to Streaming
Concert film Usher: Rendezvous in Paris will be streamed exclusively on BET+. Jointly announced by BET+ and Sony Music Vision, the film’s streaming release begins on May 8.
“I’m happy to be partnering with BET+ to bring the celebration of my 30-year career to you, the fans, to enjoy from the comfort of your homes,” said Usher in the press announcement.
BET+ executive vp and general manager Jason Harvey commented, “Usher: Rendezvous in Paris is more than a concert film — it’s a cultural moment that reflects the kind of bold, high-impact storytelling our audience expects from BET+. We’re proud to partner with Usher and Sony Music Vision to deliver a cinematic event that centers Black excellence, artistry and innovation.”
Usher: Rendezvous in Paris, directed by Anthony Mandler, chronicles the eight-time Grammy winner’s eight-show residency in Paris in 2023. Taking place during Paris Fashion Week at La Seine Musicale, the residency was an extension of the artist’s popular, groundbreaking Las Vegas residencies. In addition to performances of classics from Usher’s 30-year career — including “Yeah!,” “My Boo” and “U Got It Bad” — the film features never-before-seen costumes and state-of-the-art lighting and special effects. Formally announced in July 2024, Usher: Rendezvous in Paris initially premiered globally in 2000 theaters during a limited release from Sept. 12 through Sept. 15, 2024.
Usher, who also produced the Paris concert film along with Mandler and Ron Laffitte, is currently performing on the European leg of his Past Present Future Tour. Kicking off April 1 with a string of shows at London’s O2 Arena, followed by stops in Paris (April 15) and Amsterdam (April 22, 25, 26 & 28), the tour will move on to Berlin (May 1, 2 & 4) and then return to London’s O2 (May 6-7).
