Tyla Gets Her Wings in Teaser for New Single ‘Bliss’: Listen to a Snippet
Seems like Tyla is gearing up for her sophomore album by teasing a new single titled “Bliss” on Tuesday (April 29).
“Take me out of my mind/ Oh-oh-oh, oh, oh-oh/ Take me out of my mind/ Oh-oh-oh, oh, oh-oh/ You take me to bliss,” she’s heard crooning in a video shared to her social media accounts, in which white angel wings magically appear behind her.
The 23-year-old singer-songwriter first teased the song during her Coachella set earlier this month. “Bliss” is also the title of her new signature Erewhon smoothie. Proceeds from smoothie purchases will go to 18twenty8, a non-profit group based in her native South Africa that empowers women between the ages of 18 and 28 by developing strategies for their educational and personal development.

This wouldn’t be Tyla’s only new release following the deluxe edition of her self-titled debut album, which she released in October. She hopped on the remix of fellow South African artist WizTheMc’s “Show Me Love.” The original song reached a new peak at No. 11 on Billboard Global Excl. US this week (chart dated May 3).
In her Billboard Women in Music interview from March, the Impact honoree revealed she would be dropping a “new album” this year. “I’ve changed a lot in a short amount of time because I was kind of forced to with how fast I had to adapt to everything,” Tyla said. “I don’t think it’s going to be the same energy [as Tyla] at all, especially with what I’ve started making. It’s different, but also still Tyla.”
