The Chainsmokers Remix Chappell Roan’s ‘Pink Pony Club’: Stream It Now

The Chainsmokers dropped a remix of Chappell Roan‘s “Pink Pony Club” on Thursday (April 24), with the duo shaving down the original from four-plus minutes to a tight two-minute and 11-second edit.

The remix bounces along on a dark house beat before taking a turn into brighter and quintessentially Chainsmokers sonic terrain around the one-minute mark, with the pair dialing up the BPM and chopping Roan’s vocal into a shimmery finish. Listen to the remix below.

The pair previewed “Pink Pony Club (The Chainsmoker Remix)” at an April 18 headline set at electronic festival Breakaway in Phoenix, Arizona, where they debuted it for thousands of fans.

On social media, The Chainsmokers shared the edit and wrote that it’s the “last remix we’re dropping before original music.” The last studio album from the duo — Alex Pall and Drew Taggert — was 2023’s Summertime Friends, which has been followed with singles and remixes including the 2024 Kim Petras collab “Don’t Lie.” This year is also the 10-year anniversary of the pair’s debut EP, an anniversary that a press release notes “the duo are celebrating with a return to progressive house roots and the acclaimed remixes they are known for.”

In the days around the Breakaway set, the pair also played a daytime Arizona frat party, which the police showed up to to issue citations to underage party people. Pall then offered to pay the fines and keep the party going.

Meanwhile, the original “Pink Pony Club” is currently sitting at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100, where it’s in its 44th week on the chart.
