Syracuse women upended on the road at Stanford


STANFORD, C.A. (WSYR-TV) –
The Syracuse women’s basketball team opened its west coast swing with a 79-58 loss at Stanford on Thursday night.
The Cardinal raced out to a 14-point lead after the first quarter and never looked back. Stanford put five players in double figures, led by Elena Bosgana who scored a game-high 18 points.
Georgia Woolley was the lone Syracuse player in double figures, tying for game-high honors with 18 points.
Syracuse shot just 33% from the field, and was out rebounded by five.
The loss drops SU to 10-14 overall (4-9 in ACC play). Stanford improves to 12-12 overall (4-9 in the ACC).
Syracuse wraps up its west coast trip on Sunday in Berkeley against California. It will be a 6 p.m. tip at Haas Pavilion, and you can watch the game on the ACC Network.
