Karol G, J Balvin, Maluma, Feid & More to Drop Collaboration Featuring Colombian Stars
“Colombia gang gang,” J Balvin sings in a teaser of the star-powered collaboration titled “+57” set to drop on Thursday (Nov. 7). Featuring Karol G, Balvin, Feid, Maluma, Ryan Castro, Blessd, Ovy on the Drums and DFZM, the new track unites Colombia’s biggest hitmakers in one song, which takes its name after the area code in Colombia.
Songwriter and producer Ovy on the Drums, Karol’s longtime collaborator, was among the first in the group to announce the track, offering a teaser on Instagram where fans can hear Balvin shouting out all the collaborators. Meanwhile, Ovy and Karol are dancing along to the reggaetón beat.
Feid posted a video of himself writing down names for the “party” they will have this weekend, using the teaser in the background. Emerging artist DFZM got more emotional in his post. “You don’t know how happy I am feeling right now, THANK YOU @karolg for making my life a dream,” he captioned his Instagram repost of a photo of all of them in the studio.
It’s not the first time these artists have collaborated with one another. Karol has worked with Feid, Maluma and Ryan Castro; Ovy on the Drums with Blessd and Karol; Maluma with J Balvin, and so on, but it is the first time a large group of Colombian stars are getting together for one song.
The track comes on the heels of Ryan Castro and Blessd’s joint ¡Ay Bendito Ghetto! Tour in the U.S., and Ovy on the Drums’ first No. 1 as an artist on any Billboard ranking, as “Mírame,” with Blessd, tops the Latin Rhythm Airplay chart.
