CNY sees its first snow of the season
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Most of Central New York saw snow for the first time this season. This was especially true for areas south and east of Syracuse in the higher terrain, and in the Tug Hill Plateau.
Most of the Syracuse area and northern suburbs only saw rain (and a lot of it) with very little wet snow mixed in.
It was a much different scene just a little farther south I-81 and few hundred feet up in elevation where wet heavy snow blanketed Tompkins, Cortland, Chenango, and Madison counties.
A foot or more of snow pummeled the Catskills! Franklin in Delaware County reported 16.3″! Maryland in Otsego County reported 16.0″.
