Beyoncé Fans & Lizzo Are ‘Not Ready’ for NFL Christmas Halftime Set: ‘This Is Revolutionary’

Texas can barely hold its excitement for Beyoncé‘s newly announced halftime-show performance at this year’s Houston Texans vs. Baltimore Ravens game on Christmas Day — much less the rest of her fans across the world.

As revealed late Sunday (Nov. 17) via a cinematic teaser — which showed off the superstar’s impressive football-catching skills — Bey is set to take the stage in between halves during the Dec. 25 game at her home city’s NRG Stadium. It’ll mark the first time she’s performed since dropping her critically acclaimed Billboard 200-topping album Cowboy Carter in March, something her Hive couldn’t be more amped up for.

One person, for instance, simply retweeted the preview with a video of themselves squealing. Another fan wrote on X, “A whole a– beyoncé half time show performance in the year of 2024…. u b—hes are not ready for what’s coming… and me neither….”

Lizzo, one of Queen Bey’s most famous fans, fired off a string of ecstatic posts on Bluesky. HAS THERE EVER BEEN A HALFTIME SHOW FOR A NON-SUPERBOWL GAME?! IF NOT.. THIS IS REVOLUTIONARY 🤯,” wrote the “About Damn Time” singer on the site, which she joined just a few days prior. “DO A B—H GOTTA GO HOME TO HOUSTON FOR CHRISTMAS? LIEKKKKKKK…”

The Texans vs. Ravens match won’t be the only game NFL broadcasts on Christmas Day. Airing live on Netflix, the Kansas City Chiefs and Pittsburgh Steelers will start the day off at 1 p.m. ET before the next game begins at 4:30 p.m. ET.

For all their excitement, though, some fans are nervous about streaming the “Texas Hold ‘Em” singer’s performance come game day. That’s because many of the viewers (Netflix reported 60 million+ households tuned in)  reportedly experienced widespread performance issues with the platform during the Nov. 15 Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul boxing match, which football lovers and Bey stans alike definitely don’t want a repeat of.

“NETLFIX I KNOW ONE THING Y’ALL BETTER HAVE THAT STREAMING CONNECTION SECUREEEE FOR BEYONCÉ I’M NOT JOKING😭😭😭😭😭😭” one person wrote on X.
