Syracuse residents arrested after break-in leads to Rochester police chase

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A burglary investigation and police chase led to the arrest of two Syracuse residents in Bushnell’s Basin.

According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, they were helping the East Rochester Police Department with a burglary investigation.

The owner of Grassroots Wellness on West Commercial Street told News 8 that nothing was stolen from the business, but the front window was shattered.

East Rochester police officers said the surveillance footage showed a maroon Chevy Silverado with a broken tail light and two masked suspects trying to break in. It was later discovered the vehicle was stolen from Syracuse.
