Rock legend Jackyl added to NYS Fair lineup
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — With over 30 years of touring, including iconic performances at Woodstock ’94, and Sturgis, rock icon Jackyl is set to ignite the stage at Suburban Park at the New York State Fair.
Jackyl’s performance will mark the final concert at the 2024 state fair when it performs on Monday, September 2, at 6:00 p.m.

Jackyl exploded onto the scene in the early 1990s and made an immediate impression on fans and critics after its debut LP was certified double platinum.
With renowned singles including “I Stand Alone,” “When Will it Rain,” and “The Lumberjack,” which features lead singer Jesse James Dupree’s famous chainsaw solo, Jackyl has earned its place among rock’s elite.
“Major rock and roll acts are always among our most requested concerts year-in and year-out,” said Julie LaFave, Interim Fair Director. “Jackyl’s flare for the dramatic and its energetic, in-your-face sound has thrilled audiences at some of the world’s most celebrated venues and festivals.”
Hailed by many for its on-stage presence and longevity, Jackyl has always looked to push the limits and holds two Guinness World Records after playing 100 shows in 50 days, including 21 shows in a 24-hour period.
Most recently, the band released its ninth studio album “Jackyl 30 Coming in Hot” in 2022, which has further cemented its legacy in rock and roll history.
