NYS: Free admission at State Park sites to battle this weeks heat wave

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Governor Kathy Hochul has announced free admission for State Park sites along with early openings for local pools and beaches as the heat wave unrolls over New York State.

Hochul also said select pools and beaches are temporarily open early this week. Locations open early in the Finger Lakes include Seneca Lake State Park, and Sampson State Park.

“I encourage everyone to take advantage of free and early admission to our world class beaches, pools and other State Park sites to beat the heat as we expect record temperatures across the state,” Governor Hochul said.

Free admission at State Park sites will be active on June 19 and June 20 in effort to help New Yorkers beat the heat.
