The Democratic contest will help decide who will oppose Representative Brandon Williams for the 22nd Congressional District Seat in Congress. Sarah Klee Hood will be running against John Mannion in that race.
The fourth ward in Oneida will be deciding which two people represent their ward in the Oneida County Committee. It is a three-person race between Michelle Ironside Kinville, Robert Winchell and Daniel Jones. The fifth ward Republican race is a four-person race for the same two seats in their ward. Edward Reid, Carol Reid, Brahim Zogby and Peter Hedglon will be competing for those seats.
Early voting for the State and local primary election will be held at St. Paul’s Methodist Church on Sayles Street in Oneida from Saturday, June 15 to Sunday, June 23. This time is available to facilitate voters who wish to vote early. No votes will be tallied until the polls close on June 25.
The county also reminded voters that, because of changes to election law, if voters have been issued an early or absentee ballot to vote by mail, they may not vote by machine during early voting or during the election.
