Grab one more sandwich from Sal’s Seafoods, it’ll be closed by the end of June

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — With 70 years under its belt, North Syracuse is losing a fish sandwich icon.

Sal’s Seafoods announced they will close up shop on Friday, June 28.

“I’M RETIRING,” wrote Dave, owner of the establishment, on their Facebook.

The post was flooded with positive comments reminiscing on all of the good times and food they enjoyed over the years.

“I have enjoyed your fish and wonderful salads. You will truly be missed I will see you in the next few weeks while you remain open. Enjoy your retirement you deserve it. Thank you for your wonderful food and service,” one comment said.

Dave showed his gratitude towards those who have supported the business from the beginning.

“I would like to express my appreciation to all of the customers who have been supporting us since Sal originally started the business 70 years ago. We are proud to have served the community and to have kept Sal’s vision of bringing the best fried seafood to North Syracuse and surrounding areas,” he said.

After years of loyal customers and friend-making, Dave says he will miss everyone.

Take some time in the next few weeks to stop in and grab one last sandwich!
