Bridge Street previews Jazz Fest

(WSYR-TV) — It’s a big week in downtown Syracuse. The 38th anniversary of the Syracuse International Jazz Fest brings world-class music to Clinton Square and around downtown.
Frank Malfitano, the founder, joined Bridge Street Monday to give us a sneak peek at what this year’s event has to offer.

We then spoke with one of the acts at this year’s event. Syracuse-native Marissa Mulder. This year’s starting line-up includes 26 bands in 21 clubs, with free admission all around. It also marks a homecoming for Mulder, one of the hottest young cabaret artists in Manhattan today. She’s played Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, the Algonquin, the Carlyle, Birdland and more legendary venues.
She’s coming home for an opening night gig at Prime Steakhouse on Hanover Square. Marissa Mulder and Jon Weber are part of the Wednesday night/opening night line-up at Jazz Fest. They’ll get started at 8:00pm.
Check out the whole line-up at SyracuseJazzFest.com. You can also find out more about Marissa’s career at MarissaMulder.com.
