3.4 earthquake rattles the North Country

SYRACUSE, NY (WYSR-TV) — A 3.4 magnitude earthquake rattled the North Country Friday night.

According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS) a 3.4 magnitude earthquake happened recorded 15 km southwest of Henderson in Jefferson County at 11:45 p.m. Friday June 28 with a depth of 10.0 km.

NewsChannel 9 viewers from as far from Baldwinsville and Cazenovia reported feeling the ground shake during the earthquake.

One viewer who was camping at Southwick Beach reported feeling the ground move and thought it was thunder.

According to officials, there have been no reports of any damage.
