Voting registration changes in Madison County

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — The Madison County Board of Elections wants voters to be aware of some changes regarding voter registration for the upcoming Village Elections on June 18.

If voters wish to vote in the Cazenovia, Hamilton, or Morrisville Village Election on Tuesday, June 18, voters must be registered by June 8.

Voters can verify their voting registration at the voter lookup website or by calling the Madison County Board of Elections at 315-366-2231.

Anyone who has moved since they have last registered must re-register. Registration forms are available from the Madison County Board of Elections by calling 315-366-2231 or can be downloaded off the county’s website.

They also want to remind voters who are wishing to vote by Early Vote by Mail or absentee ballot to call the Board of Elections at 315-366-2231 for an application, download one off the county’s website or stop by the Board of Elections and fill out an application and vote in person.

All Early Vote by Mail and absentee ballots must be received no later than 9:00 p.m.. at the Board of Elections office on June 18.

Voters should also note that due to changes in election law, if you have been issued an Early Vote by Mail or absentee ballot, you are no longer eligible to vote on the machine on Election Day.
