Temperatures back off temporarily in CNY

SYRACUSE, NY (WSYR-TV) – Quiet for most tonight, and more nice weather ahead to round out the week. How nice? Find out below…
Breezy, mild and dry for most tonight
Some more clouds work in tonight with a shower or two possible mainly north of Syracuse as another weak occluded front sweeps through.
Lows drop into the mid-50s.

Continues to feel and look pretty nice
High pressure re-establishes itself on Thursday slowly but surely which leads to more in the way of breaks of sun developing as the day progresses with a steady breeze.
Highs are a bit cooler, but still pleasant for the start of May, mid-60s.

On Friday, high pressure stays in control as it slowly slides to the east with some sun continuing to shine. It’s a warmer end to the week too with highs climbing into the mid to upper 70s.
Wet weather this weekend??
The next weather maker unfortunately appears to be slated to arrive Saturday with some showers. While there could be some showers around Saturday morning, they should become more widespread in the afternoon ahead of a weakening frontal system.
Right now, Sunday looks to be a little bit better than Saturday with showers tapering during the midday and afternoon.
It’s a breezy and cooler weekend too thanks to more clouds and the showers. Highs on Saturday should make the mid to perhaps upper 60s, and probably mid 60s on Sunday for Cinco De Mayo.
