Syracuse Crunch drops Game One to Cleveland


CLEVELAND, O.H. (WSYR-TV) –
Less than five minutes into the third period, Cleveland’s Justin Pearson broke a scoreless game, scoring a shorthanded goal to lift the Monsters to a 1-0 Game One win over Syracuse.
It’s the first time Syracuse has been shutout since March 27th. Brandon Halverson turned aside 23 shots in the loss for the Crunch. Jet Greaves stopped all 28 shots that he faced, to earn the win in net for the Monsters.
Syracuse will look to even up the Best-of-Five North Division Finals series on Saturday afternoon in Cleveland. The puck drops at 1 p.m. and you can watch the game on AHL TV.
