Sunshine getting ready to dominate CNY’s weather

Staying cool, but drying out later this week

After reaching 72° in Syracuse on Tuesday, it’s even cooler and less humid Wednesday and Thursday. Intervals of sun develop Wednesday, especially Syracuse north bound in the afternoon, and more in the way of sun is expected Thursday.

A few showers are possible Syracuse southbound Wednesday, especially through lunch time, but much of the day looks to be dry. That said, click here to see if you should try to mow the lawn Wednesday and or possibly catch the Syracuse Mets game Wednesday night.

Highs cool back into the upper 60s to around 70 Wednesday and mid to upper 60s Thursday as high pressure settles in from the northwest. Yes, a bit of a fall feel to the air is expected by day and night.

Warming trend begins Friday.

The 70s return Friday, and no we aren’t talking about the disco era, with plenty of sunshine as high pressure remains in control to round out the week.

Summery feel returns over the weekend, but any rain?

The start of the weekend looks great under more sun and a warmer high in the mid-70s to near 80!

It’s even a bit warmer Sunday and slightly muggier too with just an isolated shower or two possible as a weakening warm front makes a run at us. We should feel the low 80s Sunday.

There are strong signs that we could heat up even more so early to mid-next week! Stay tuned.
