Quiet tonight, turning warmer on Friday

SYRACUSE, NY (WSYR-TV) – Dry weather continues to round out the week before the threat of rain goes up this weekend. Details below…

Quiet and comfortable tonight

Dry conditions will prevail overnight across central New York. With a few clouds overhead, temperatures will drop into the mid to upper 40s.

Keep in mind, average lows are in the low 40s for this time of year, so it will be a fairly seasonable and comfortable night ahead.

Turning warmer on Friday

If you have enjoyed the past couple of days, we think you’ll like what’s in store for Friday as well!

The sun doesn’t quit on us as we close out the work and school week! High pressure stays in control keeping us rain-free. It’s a warmer end to the week too, with highs climbing into the mid to upper 70s.

Rain threat returns this weekend

The next weather maker unfortunately is slated to arrive Saturday afternoon with some showers. While there could be some showers around Saturday morning, they should become more widespread in the afternoon ahead of a weakening frontal system.

Showers may even linger into Sunday morning (plan accordingly for the Mountain Goat race!), but gradually break up during the day.

It’s a breezy and cooler weekend too thanks to more clouds and the showers. Highs on Saturday should make the mid to perhaps upper 60s, and probably mid 60s on Sunday for Cinco De Mayo.
