Mild, showers taper this evening

SYRACUSE, NY (WSYR-TV) – Warming trend continues into Tuesday, but so too does the shower threat. Check out the latest details below.
Unsettled at times pattern continues…
A warm front slowly sneaks through tonight with any showers/storm tapering towards midnight with a much milder night ahead.
Lows dip into the mid-50s to near 60 under partial clearing overnight.
Tonight, there likely will be enough breaks in the clouds developing overnight but will there be any northern lights to see in CNY? Click here for the latest.
The same storm system impacting us into the start of Monday night, also slowly pushes a cold front towards CNY Tuesday. This leads to some more showers and probably a few t-storms Tuesday afternoon.
It’s a bit breezy, warmer and a bit muggier Tuesday too with highs warming well into the 70s to perhaps even 80 if we see enough sun!

Still dodging drops into midweek
The cold front mentioned above slowly sneaks through Tuesday night with a few more showers and unfortunately essentially stalls Wednesday not too far south and east of here. What does that mean? Thanks to a wave of low pressure moving up along the stalled front, it’s probably going to result in some additional showers being around for Wednesday.

Highs Wednesday may struggle to get out of the 60s.

Possibly nicer for a day or two?
The rain maker for Wednesday should slowly breakdown and shift east enough so that CNY dries out for the most part Thursday, and possibly for much of Friday too.

An approaching cold front from the west may throw some showers into the area towards sunset Friday.
Highs should get up into the mid-70s Thursday and Friday.
