‘Dear Alcohol’ singer announced as newest Fair performer

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — The New York State Fair has released that Canadian-born country star, Dax, as their next performer.

Daniel Nwosu Jr., whose stage name is “Dax” is a singer, rapper, and songwriter with a growing fanbase for his music that covers relatable issues.

Some of his most popular are, “Dear Alcohol,” “To Be A Man (feat. Darius Rucker),” “God’s Eyes,” “JOKER,” and more.

“Dax continued with a flurry of releases, culminating in his “What Is Life?” EP in 2023, followed by a remix of “To Be a Man” with music icon Darius Rucker. Dax capped off a strong 2023 with his first US national TV performance on the Today Show,” said the Fair.

He will take on the Chevy Court stage on Sunday, Aug. 25 at 6 p.m.
