Crunch fall to Cleveland, 4-1, in Game 2

CLEVELAND, OHIO (WSYR-TV) — The Syracuse Crunch were able to get on the board first, but gave up four unanswered goals in Game 2 of the North Division Finals, falling to Cleveland, 4-1.

Devante Stephens scored the Crunch’s only goal of the game in the first period on the power play. But Billy Sweezey, Hunter McKown, Jakub Zboril and Alex Whelan, with an empty-netter, all scored for the Monsters to secure the win.

Cleveland is now up 2-0 in the best-of-five series.

The Crunch will be back home for Game 3 on Wednesday, May 22, at 7 p.m., trying to avoid elimination.
