Cicero man charged with 98 felonies, found with many illegal guns

CICERO, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — 39-year-old from Cicero has been arrested following a search warrant at his home, where he was found with numerous illegal weapons, magazines, and more.

Mario Grgic, of Oldfield Way, had his house searched on May 6.

This is what New York State Police found:

  • 80 illegal high capacity feeding devices (magazines)
  • 14 illegal “Ghost Gun” frames
  • 8 illegal semi-auto “Ghost Handguns”   
  • 2 illegal semi-auto “Ghost Assault Weapons”
  • 1 Tactical Shotgun
  • 1 Tactical .308
  • Multiple illegal trigger assemblies
  • Illegal Ammunition – “Dragons Breath” – 12-gauge explosive rounds

Grgic was charged with 98 felonies, and 41 misdemeanors.

They include:

  • 10 counts of 265.01 (9) Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th – Ghost Gun – A Misdemeanor
  • 14 counts of 265.01 (10) Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th – Unfinished Frame – A Misdemeanor
  • 1 count of 265.04 (2) Criminal Possession of a Weapon 1st – 10 or more firearms – B Felony
  • 2 counts of 265.03 (02) Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd – 5 or more – C Felony
  • 10 counts of 265.01-B(1) Criminal Possession of a Firearm – E Felony
  • 2 counts of 265.02 (7) Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd – Assault Weapon – D Felony
  • 80 counts of 265.02 (8) Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd – Ammo Clip – D Felony
  • 3 counts of 265.02 (05I) Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd – 3 or more firearms – D Felony
  • 10 counts of 265.45 (1) Fail to safely store firearms 1st – A Misdemeanor
  • 6 counts of 265.01 (7) Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th – Exploding Bullets – A Misdemeanor
  • 1 count of 220.03 Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance – Cocaine – A Misdemeanor 

He was arraigned and sent to Onondaga County jail without bail.

New York State Police say this is a multi-state investigation, which is being conducted by the New York State Police and The Federal Bureau of Investigations – Syracuse Field Office.
