Which food services passed or failed health inspection March 24-30?

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — The Onondaga County Health Department released its inspection reports for restaurants checked from March 24 through March 30.

One food service failed its inspection:

Critical violation: Foods not protected from contamination by other sources:

This violation was found two times.

The inspector found one squeeze bottle containing soap at the hand wash sink in the kitchen lacked a label. This was corrected.

The inspector also found ice and snow melt chemicals stored next to and above single-service pizza boxes in the shed storage unit, which is improper storage. This was corrected. The snow melt chemicals were removed from the storage area.

Food not protected in general: The inspector found squeeze bottles at the cook line containing oil and water were not labeled.

Poor sanitary design, construction, and installation of equipment and utensils: The inspector found shelving by the pizza ovens — which contained pizza pans — lined with cardboard, which is not a smooth and easily cleanable surface.

Improper cleaning, washing, and sanitizing of equipment and utensils: The inspector noted the gauge on the automatic dishwasher was not operational.

The exterior of a large bucket container next to the fryers had grease accumulation as well as the gaskets on the pizza preparation coolers, and both weren’t clean.

This violation was found four times.

Improper sanitary facilities and controls: The inspector noted the hand wash sink in the bathroom lacked an employee hand wash sign. The bathroom that is meant to be utilized
by the public and female employees lacked a covered garbage receptacle as well.

Improper construction and maintenance of physical facilities: The inspector noted the floors in the walk-in freezer and below the shelving in the walk-in cooler had food accumulation, and were not clean. Floors in the shed storage area were also noted as not clean.

Many locations passed their inspections between March 24 through March 30.
