Wegmans earns top 10 spot in 100 Best Companies to Work For

Erie, PA (WJET/WFXP)– Finding a good place to work isn’t always easy, however, one regional grocery store recently earned a top 10 spot according to Great Place To Work and Fortune magazine.

Wegmans Food Markets, Inc. was recently ranked as the sixth out of the best 100 companies to work for by the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For, the top spot among retail companies, and the company’s 27th time making the list.

The list is made from confidential feedback from employees matched with HR data from participating companies by Great Places to Work with only companies that have consistently high survey responses from the 60 statements that make up the Trust Index Survey making the list.

The companies are then evaluated based on their ability to create a positive employee experience cutting across race, gender, age, disability status, or any aspect of employee identity or job role.

Last year, Wegmans also ranked as the best place to work for parents and women, along with claiming the top spot for Workplaces in Retail by Fortune.
