Syracuse Crunch lose to Toronto, 2-1, in shootout

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR) — After a scoreless first period, Toronto would take the 1-0 lead late in the second period and it would stay that way until Alex Barré-Boulet would tie it up in the third.
It would stay tied until the end of overtime and this game would head into a shootout.
Both Gage Goncalves and Barré-Boulet would miss their shots putting the Marlies up a goal in the shootout. Lucas Edmonds would fail to put his shot in the back of the net and the Marlies would take home the 2-1 win.
Despite the Crunch suffering their first loss in the eight game series with Toronto, Syracuse now moves into first place in the North Division with the point tonight.
