Some clearing tonight leads to a nice Sunday!

SYRACUSE, NY (WSYR-TV) – It was a nicer Saturday, and the improvements continue into Sunday too, but how are we looking for the eclipse on Monday? Find out below…

Mainly dry tonight

After some sun and highs reached the upper 40s to low 50s to start the weekend, even quieter, nicer weather is on tap to round out the weekend across CNY!

As the stubborn, pesky storm that produced lots of rain and mountain snow in New England the last few days finally begins to pull away tonight into Sunday, even better weather will arrive.

Lows tonight drop into the low to mid 30s under partial clearing overnight and lighter winds.

Finally nicer on Sunday!

More in the way of sunshine returns on Sunday as central New York dries out after a considerably long period of unsettled weather and more clouds than not.

Along with more sunshine returning on Sunday, highs climb to more seasonable levels in the low to mid 50s for all, except up near the Lake Ontario shoreline and hills where readings likely don’t exceed the upper 40s to around 50.

Some clouds on Monday

While eclipse day has been looking good earlier this past week, the trend Friday into Saturday isn’t as good with more high clouds expected to build in Monday afternoon for much of CNY.

In addition to the upper-level clouds, some mid-level clouds may obscure the eclipse at times. Make sure to keep checking back with us as we approach Monday.

Highs Monday will be within a few degrees of 60, so pretty comfortable for early April in CNY.
