One more frosty night in store

SYRACUSE, NY (WSYR-TV) – Expect cooler weather and another frosty morning in the short term, but wait until you see what happens by the end of the weekend! Details are below…

More late-week sun with another frosty start

High pressure is building in from the west and that means another cold night is in store for central New York with clear skies and light winds.

Don’t put the ice scraper away just yet. It’s another frosty start on Friday morning with lows in the 20s to near 30.

We think Friday morning’s record low of 21° set back in 1919 is safe.

Cool then seasonable

On Friday, it feels quite nice as the warming trend continues with readings climbing into the 60s to round out the week!

Weekend warmup, but do we stay dry?

That warming trend will continue all throughout the weekend into Monday. Saturday starts out with a mix of sun and clouds, and highs around the mid-60s. A warm front moves in late Saturday afternoon out of the southwest bringing a few showers.

It looks even warmer with more dry time than not on Sunday with a spotty shower or thundershower possible. Highs will be in the upper 70s. For the first time this spring you will also notice an increase in the humidity.

A very noticeable difference compared to Saturday, but wait until you feel what the start of next week has in store…
