Eclipse travelers hoping for clear skies for tomorrow’s eclipse

OSWEGO, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) – It’s a feeling so out of this world that those who have felt it are chasing the eclipse to experience it again.
“For the 2017 eclipse, we were fortunate to be able to see it with my family, and it was awe-inspiring. And when it happened, I said, you know what, if I ever get the chance, any remote chance, to go see another eclipse, I’m going to make it happen,” Ro Kinzler, an earth scientist from Brooklyn, New York, said.
“We went to the eclipse in 2017 in Casper, Wyoming, We enjoyed it, and since we’re getting older, and the next one will arrive after we’re long gone, we thought we’d give it one more shot,” Justo Arcia from Silt, Colorado said.
For others, it’s a bucket list item they’re looking forward to checking off.
“I’ve always been interested in science, but from what I hear, experiencing a full eclipse is otherworldly, so I want to experience that,” Joseph Marthaler from New Jersey said.
An experience bringing those in the path of totality together, and some say it’s an event you’ll never forget.
“I think when everyone gets excited about something that’s happening in the natural world,” Ro Kinzler added, “a phenomenon like this, I think it’s excellent for humanity.”
All the people in town for Monday’s total solar eclipse are hoping for clear skies.
