Wind puts a chill in the air to end the week

SYRACUSE, NY (WSYR-TV) – The nicer, spring feel to the air this week is coming to an end. How cool is going to get as we head towards the holiday weekend? Find out below…

Cooling back down…

A cold front that moved through Wednesday evening has knocked temperatures back down to more seasonable levels for central New York. Gone will be the 60s of the past few days replaced by more seasonable 40s.

While Thursday was a fairly comfortable day, we do have to caution that a gusty breeze on Friday makes it feel more like it is in the 30s. Plus, there may be a period of cloudy weather by early afternoon.

Little or no precipitation the rest of the week

There may also be some sprinkles/flurries around on Friday over the hills south of Syracuse, but other than that it looks to stay dry to finish out the week.

The weekend starts out on the dry side, but an area of low pressure approaching us from the Ohio River Valley should bring some rain to our doorstep by Saturday evening then into central New York at night. There could be some wet snow mixed in as well.
