Syracuse women bounced by FSU in ACC Quarterfinals
GREENSBORO, N.C. (WSYR-TV) –
It was a quick stay for the SU women’s basketball team in Greensboro, North Carolina. #20 Syracuse was upset by Florida State 78-65 in the ACC Quarterfinals on Friday night.
FSU held Syracuse to just nine points in the second quarter, racing out to a 12-point halftime lead. The Seminoles would outscore the Orange 28-18 in the third, cruising to the victory.
Ta’Niya Latson and O’Mariah Gordon combined for 49 points, powering the ‘Noles to the win over the Orange.
Dyaisha Fair finished with a team-high 23 points and nine rebounds for SU.
Florida State out rebounded Syracuse by 16.
Syracuse (23-7) now awaits its NCAA Tournament seeding. The women’s Selection Show will take place on March 17th, at 8 p.m. on ESPN.
