Syracuse tops Delaware 14-6 on the road


CHANTILLY, V.A. (WSYR) — #6/6 Syracuse was outscored 4-3 in the first quarter then held the Blue Hens to two goals the rest of the game. Syracuse secures the 14-6 win with Owen Hiltz leading the way with six goals, one goal short of his career-best.
Syracuse had eight different players notch at least one goal in the win. Christian Mule ended the day with two goals and an assist and while Joey Spallina only put up a goal in the game, he led the team in assists with four.
The Orange dominated in the cage with Will Mark stopping a season best 17 shots, which put his career saves to 813, making him the 15th goalkeeper in Division I history to have 800 or more career saves.
Syracuse return to the JMA Wireless dome for their next matchup against #3/4 Duke on Wednesday, March 20th at 7 p.m. for their first ACC game.
