Syracuse ties a record high Wednesday

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Another day of unseasonable warmth here in central New York has led to a record high being tied.
The record high for March 13 in Syracuse is 71 degrees, set back in 1990.
As of 4 p.m. in Syracuse, the temperature was 71 degrees, tying this record.
For some perspective, the average high for this time of year is 41.
We will find out officially during the 5 o’clock hour if the record was just tied, or if we made it to 72 degrees ultimately breaking the record.
