Syracuse man arrested for making multiple bomb threat calls

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — On Wednesday, March 13, Syracuse police arrested a man after he made several bomb threat calls across the city.

21-year-old Avram Broome Jr. allegedly called in bomb threats to various businesses in the city, including shopping areas, a library and a health care center, SPD said. It was also reported that Broome Jr. was laughing during these calls.

Police were able to locate the cell phone making the calls at the 200 block of Union Place, where Broome Jr. exited an apartment and admitted to making the calls, according to SPD.

He did not give an explanation other than being bored.
