SU remains unbeaten in ACC with win over UNC

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR) — #7 Syracuse Women’s lacrosse rolled past #9 North Carolina at home on Saturday 20-5 after starting off the game with five straight goals.

Emma Tyrrell led the team with a career high eight points (5g, 3a), which makes her the 11th player in program history to reach 200 career points. Overall, eight different players scored a goal with Emma Ward notching two and Natalie Smith tying her career high with four.

The Orange outshot UNC 38-17 and won 18 out of 27 draw controls.

Syracuse now moves to 5-3 overall and 4-0 in conference play. They return to action Tuesday, March 19th at 3 p.m. as they host UAlbany at the JMA Wireless Dome.
