Shower threat in CNY hit or miss for now

SYRACUSE, NY (WSYR-TV) – The nicer, spring feel to the air this week continues into midweek, but cooler changes come about towards the holiday weekend. Find out about the upcoming cooler changes and the next chance of rain below…

Warming trend continues into Wednesday, but…

Spring temperatures continue to make a comeback across the region through midweek after a wintry start to official spring.

After a milder Tuesday with highs in the 50s and low 60s, it’s a milder night ahead with the low to mid 40s.

The milder air peaks Wednesday with highs likely reaching the 60s before we start to cool thereafter.

These milder temperatures (with some sunshine at times) continue to melt away the rest of the snow from the Friday night/Saturday snowstorm.

Next chance of rain?

The next chance of rain showers returns overnight and then a few spotty showers may linger into the start of Wednesday with a renewed threat of a few showers Wednesday evening, but much of Wednesday looks to be dry. When all is said and done by the end of Wednesday evening most spots in central New York will have seen .10″ of rain or less.

Breezy & cooler, but dry late week

Drier conditions return for the last half of the week in the wake of the front along with cooler, more seasonable temperatures as we head towards Easter weekend.

Stay tuned for updates.
