Orange lose Taylor and Copeland to transfer portal

Syracuse, NY – (WSYR-TV) – Justin Taylor and Quadir Copeland are the first two Syracuse men’s basketball players to put their names into the transfer portal this week. Joe Tipton from On3Sports was the first to report the news.

Taylor started all 32 games for the Orange as a sophomore. He averaged five points and four rebounds per game. Taylor struggled with his shot much of the year, finishing the season shooting 30% from three-point range.

Copeland, meanwhile, was one of the top reserves in the ACC. He finished second in the voting for sixth-man of the year in the conference. Copeland averaged almost 10 points and five rebounds per game.

Both players have two years of eligibility remaining.
