NewsChannel 9’s Carrie Lazarus wins SAMMY Community Spirit Award

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Sure, there’s the Grammy’s, but here in Syracuse, we’ve got the SAMMY’s
The Syracuse Area Music Awards, with plenty of genres of music represented!
The Palace Theatre in Eastwood once again played host on Friday night, March 8. Artists were recognized in a variety of categories, from best jam band to best jazz and the People’s Choice Award!
Also honored tonight was NewsChannel 9’s very own Carrie Lazarus, receiving the Community Spirit Award for her Extraordinary Talent series. She was presented with the honor by Sydney Irving, one of her featured artists.
