Some of the ‘luck’ runs out tonight into St. Patrick’s Day

After a nice Saturday afternoon, there are some rain showers due to arrive mainly after 10 pm tonight with a cold front sliding through overnight. Lows drop into the upper 30s to around 40.

There will be a scattering of rain, snow and graupel (snow pellet) showers on St. Patrick’s Day itself with a gusty wind making the highs in the mid-40s feel more like the 30s.

So be sure to dress for typical March weather for the holiday.

Turning colder next week

A stretch of cooler weather is set to move in for early next week with several days of below normal temperatures for a change and more snow showers and areas of lake snow expected at times.

& even snowy at times too

There may even be a few inches or more in the most persistent bands of lake snow come Monday night into Tuesday morning which may include the Syracuse area.

Occasional snow showers and areas of lake snow most likely continues at times right through midweek too as spring officially starts at 11:06 pm Tuesday ironically! Stay tuned for updates.
