More typical March feel returns for St. Patrick’s Day

SYRACUSE, NY (WSYR-TV) – It turned into a nice Saturday with some sun and milder temperatures for the afternoon, but chillier air is on the way. When does it arrive, and will there be any snow? Find out below…
Some of the ‘luck’ runs out for St. Patrick’s Day
After a nice Saturday afternoon, there will be a scattering of rain and snow showers on St. Patrick’s Day.
It will be breezy as well, making our highs in the mid-40s feel more like the 30s. Be sure to dress for typical March weather for the holiday.

Turning colder with some snow
A stretch of cooler weather is set to move in with several days of below average temperatures for a change. We also expect the return of some more snow showers and areas of lake snow.

There may even be a few inches or more in the most persistent bands of lake snow come Monday night into Tuesday morning, which may include the Syracuse area.

Occasional snow showers and areas of lake snow most likely continue at times right through at least midweek as spring officially starts at 11:06 pm Tuesday ironically!
Stay tuned for updates.
